Tae Kwon Do

Student Punching

Welcome to my Tae Kwon Do page.

Tae Kwon Do has many benefits.  It is my primary form of exercise, but it has much to offer that may not be apparent at first glance.  I can say that it has improved not only my health, but my confidence level in all areas of my life, and it also provides a great opportunity for social interaction.  I have been taking Tae Kwon Do at the Jefferson City YMCA since approximately August 2005.  I have been out for a couple of years now, but I started back in November 2013, and it's great to be back.  My Instructor is Brad Spraggs, 5th degree black belt.  My current rank is reflected in my belt collection at the bottom of the page, which will grow as I advance.  The belt colors in our style are: White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown (3rd degree brown), Brown/Black (2nd degree brown), Red (1st degree brown), Black (there are 10 degrees of Black, starting at first degree and going up to tenth degree).  If you are interested in learning Tae Kwon Do, please contact the Jefferson City YMCA to enroll in our class and come join us.
